We couldn’t have pulled it together without a great deal of help from our board members and many community friends and of course, the local working folk who are here in Juneau to actually put the heat pumps into your home!
Renewable Juneau would like to thank:
Robin Gilcrest and the UAS Construction Technology Program for use of their wonderful space
The Leighty Foundation and the Great Blue Heron Fund, for support for our promotional materials
First Bank’s Catherine Sayre for sharing information on financing options
Our supportive installers:
Alaska Plumbing and Heating, Bill and Sonny Ashby 209-6648
All American Plumbing and Heating, Joel Mitchell 789-1800
Happy Home Heat Pumps, Paul Stephens 957-0409
Icehouse Refrigeration, Jessica Dreibelbis 523-2700
Plumbing and Heating Company, Chase Powers 789-3332
…at our recent 2nd annual Heat Pump 101 Workshop! We were thrilled to have a ‘sellout’ crowd with roughly 120 attendees at our educational workshop on the bennies of converting home heating to an air source heat pump. Renewable Juneau will be pulling together details from the event and posting them here. Soon! Additionally, we’ll post our powerpoint presentation as well as detailed contact information for the five heat pump installers who were there to share their expertise.
Renewable Juneau recently sent a climate and energy focused questionnaire to all six candidates seeking to represent House District 33 (Sara Hannan and Chris Dimond), House District 34 (Jerry Nankervis and Andi Story) and Senate District Q (Don Etheridge and Jesse Kiehl).
As a nonprofit, we can’t endorse candidates, but there are significant differences in some of their answers. Please take them into consideration as you vote on (or before) Tuesday, November 6.
